Asiago Pesto Bread

2 1/4 c warm water

2 1/2 T Italian Herbs

2 T Vegetable/Olive Oil

1 T Sugar

2 T Yeast

2 c Asiago Cheese, grated

    Pesto

5 1/2 to 6 1/2 c bread flour.

1 T Salt

 

 

1.  Mix 3c flour, salt, herbs, yeast, & water in a large bowl.  Mix well.

2.  Slowly add remainder of flour.

3.  Knead in 1 1/2 c cheese

4.  Let rise in warm place until doubled. (~1 hour)

5.  Spread gently into 2 rectangles.  Spread pesto on the dough to 1 inch from edge.  Roll & shape loaves.

6.  Place on parchment paper & sprinkle remaining asiago & herbs on top.

7.  Bake at 400° between 40 & 50 minutes.
