     This year, students will be taking part in Literature Circles, where they will work with a small group (three to four students) to read and discuss a different book.  Groups will meet on a weekly basis to discuss, and will have a weekly writing assignment based on this discussion & reading.

     Groups will be student led as much as possible, and as such, they will be determining for themselves both how much they are expected to read and what their particular writing assignment or role will be for the week.

    As each group gets started, their particular assignments will written down in their Literature Circle Folder--each group is responsible for assigning work for the upcoming week.  All work is due on the Tuesday of the following week.
